A downloadable Dungeon Crawler

(Version 0.2)

Have you ever thought about playing a Dungeon Crawl, only to realize that you're somewhere without a computer, and that most mobile Dungeon Crawlers are pretty pay-to-win-ish?

Well, fret no more! If you have two dice and a deck of cards, you can start crawling dungeons today! With Crawling in the Dark, it takes minutes to get started, and you can play for hours. Level your character, collect items and weapons, and slay the big baddies in the dungeon!

The rules are contained on 11 pages, so it takes no time to learn it, but it might take a while to master it.

Have fun and please let me know what you think. This game is still in playtesting, but I personally really enjoy playing it. Already thinking about expansions with added features!

I have a question, when combat it's explained in the example shows an extra number (a 2) between the weapon power and the die result. What does that number stands for?

So this game is fun, but the difficulty is to high on the outset. I had two easy fixes:

First, make the initial deck only have cards with values from 1 to 3. Whenever you complete a run, add four new cards which are one larger(4 than 5 than 6 etc.). When you add face cards for the first time, add in the jokers as well.

Second, whenever you heal, roll a d6 and add that health to your health. I could also see having the ability to rest between each room.

This is a pretty cool game and I would like to see this expanded upon and refined.

Hello Tristan

Thank you for taking the time to try the game and recommend these changes. This definitely makes good sense, and scaling per run has been the toughest thing to figure out.

I think I will implement these changes in version 0.2

Stay tuned!

Your changes have been added to version 0.2! Thank you.
